How does coaching with me work?

Coaching is a powerful tool for personal and professional development. It involves a coach (me) working with an individual (you) or a group to help you achieve specific goals or improve certain skills. But how exactly does coaching work, and what can you expect from the process?

The Coaching Process

Coaching is a collaborative relationship. As your coach, I will be your guide, helping you to identify your goals, overcome obstacles, and develop strategies for success. Unlike mentoring, where the mentor shares their own experiences and advice, coaching focuses on helping the coachee find their own solutions and insights.

  1. Getting to know you: Coaching with me typically begins with getting to know you. This involves a getting-to -know you call, and other tools, such as questionnaires to help me understand your current situation, high level goals, strengths and challenges.

  2. Goal Setting: Once the getting to know you step is complete, we’ll work together to set specific, achievable sub goals, from your high level goals.

  3. Action Planning: With goals in place, together we’ll develop a plan of action. This might include identifying steps to take, resources to leverage, mindset challenges and potential obstacles to overcome.

  4. Ongoing Support and Feedback: Coaching is not a one-time event but an ongoing process. I’ll provide continuous support and feedback through our sessions, helping you stay on track and make adjustments as needed.

  5. Evaluation and Reflection: In each session, we’ll evaluate progress and reflect on what has been learned, and how we’re tracking towards your goals. This helps ensure that the coaching process is effective and that you’re moving towards your goals.

Benefits of Coaching

Coaching can offer numerous benefits, including:

  • Improved Performance: Through coaching, I can help you identify and build on your strengths, leading to improved performance in your personal and professional life.

  • Increased Self-Awareness: Through the coaching process, you will gain a deeper understanding of your own motivations, values, and behaviours.

  • Enhanced Goal Achievement: In my experience, having a clear plan and ongoing support means you’re definitely more likely to achieve your goals!

  • Perspective-taking and Better Problem-Solving Skills: Coaching encourages you to think critically and develop your own solutions, which can enhance perspective-taking and problem-solving skills.

Coaching is a valuable tool for anyone looking to achieve their goals, improve their performance, or gain greater self-awareness. By working with me as your coach, you’ll navigate challenges, stay focused, and kick your goals in a super supportive environment, because I’ll be there to support you, every step of the way!
